PURPOSEOF THE COMPETITION

  1. Sports competition for the best Times on the distance 1/8 IM, 1/4 IM, and Corporate Triathlon Relay over a distance of 1/4 IM.
  2. Employee integration in company and between companies.
  3. Popularization of triathlon and Mietków Lake areas.

DATE – LOCATION – DISTANCE

  1. The competition will take place on 8 – 9 June 2019 r.
  2. Distance – 1/4 IM – 8.06.2019 r. (Saturday). Start 10.00 am.  
  3. Corporate Triathlon Relay on distancee 1/4 IM – 9.06.2019 r. (Sunday). Start 10.00 am.
  4. Distance 1/8 IM – 09.06.2019 r. (Sunday). Start 10.45 am.
  5. Start, finish line and the office will be located at Water Sports Harbor in Borzygniew (30 km from Wrocław).
  6. Competition on all distances also available in no drafting formula.
  7. Distances:

Swimming: 1/4 IM – 950 m – (1 loop), 1/8 IM – 475 m – (1 loop),

Cycling: 1/4 IM- 45 km – (2 loops), 1/8 IM – 22,5 km – (1 loop),

Running: 1/4 IM – 10,5 km – (2 loops), 1/8 IM – 5,25 km – (1 loop).

8. Time limits:

Distances 1/4 IM: S: 30min, S+C: 2h 30min, S+C+R: 3h 30min,

Distance 1/8IM: S: 20min, S+C: 1h 30min, S+C+R: 2h.

9. Start Waves – on distance 1/4 IM (Saturday):

  • 10.00 – M30 + competitors with times on distance 1/4IM: Males – below 2h 10min, Females – below 2h 20min.
  • 10.15 – M20, M40,
  • 10.30 – Females – all cathegories and M50+.

Starting in the wrong wave will result in disqualification. Competitors are responsible for starting in the right wave.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

  1. In order to take part in competition on distance 1/4 IM all participants must be 18 years old on 08.06.2019 and with health conditions allowing them to compete.
  2. In order to take part in competition on distance 1/8 IM participants over 15 years old are obliged to deliver a signed permission from a legal guardian.
  3. Three-person relay teams will participate in Corporate Triathlon Relay, which are signed in by the team captain. We allow corporations to be represented by friends, co-operators, and the competitors who want to represent a given Corporation in relay.
  4. In Corporate Relay we do not allow Corporation sport groups, like triathlon groups. For such groups we prepared PRO Cathegory.
  5. During the competition we are sportsmen, we are fair; we do not ride on sb’s tail, we follow the Rules, we care for our safety and for safety of the other competitors! And FYI the referees will be watching.
  6. Each participant is obliged to sign a declaration personally and at his own risk.
  7. Each participant will receive a wristband at the competition office, which will allow him/her to enter/leave the change zone, use the buffets and access the competitors only zone.
  8. Each participant is obliged to wear a cap. This year it is allowed to use your own cap or to buy one when signing in.
  9. Participants must fill in the registration form available at triathlonmietkow.pl an pay an entrance fee.
  10. By checking in on the start line every participant accepts the rules of competition and states that his/her health condition allows to compete.

CHANGES T1 and T2 (concerns relays)

  1. Participant taking part in cycling waits by the bicycle stand until the swimmer reaches it. It is necessary to take the wristband with chip before moving on to the cycling stage.
  2. Participant taking part in running waits by the bicycle stand for the cycler to reach this point. Runner takes the wristband with chip and continues on to running stage.

APPLICATIONS

  1. We acknowledge applications via application form.
  2. Participants limits:  distance 1/4 IM (Saturday)  – 600 competitors, distance 1/8 IM (Sunday) – 300 competitors, Corporate Triathlon Relay (Sunday) – 250 relay teams,
  3. Start-up packages available: 7 June 4.00pm – 7.00pm – both distances; 8 June 7.30am – 9.30am – distance 1/4 IM only, and 4.00pm – 7.00pm – both distances, 9 June 7.30am – 9.30am – both distances. Details available at triathlonmietkow.pl/harmonogram
  4. Participation will be available to those who pay the entrance fee first. The date off enrollment IS NOT decisive.
  5. Participant will be removed from the starting list after 7 days from signing in, if he/she did not pay the entrance fee.
  6. Chcecking in the bicycles to the change zone takes place on the day of the competition from 7.00 am – 9.45am (this applies also to the distance 1/4 IM on Saturday).
  7. At 9.45am all participants must leave the change zone (this applies also to distance 1/8 IM that starts at 10.45am). At 10.00am on Relay day the changing zone is available only for participants from relay teams.
  8. After the competition there will be showers available for participants.

  5. Police Championship of Poland

1/8 IM:

  1. OPEN Female
  2. OPEN Male
  3. Age categories: Youngling F/M (15-17),  Junior F/M (18-19), K/M 20-23, K/M 30-39, K/M 40-49, K50+, M50, M60+

First 3 persons for 1/8 IM andfirst 5 persons for 1/4 IM in OPEN categories, do not take part in age classification.

Theremust be minimum 5 persons fora category to be opened.

EMPLOYEES AND LAW ENFORCEMENT CHAMPIONSHIP OF POLAND – Relays

POLICE CHAMPIONSHIP OF POLAND on distance 1/4 IM

ITriathlon Police Championship in Mietków 2019 isfor police officers, employees and retired officers. In application form you just need to choose an appropriate option. All police officers and employees will be included in general classification.

Police Championship Classification and Awards

  1. Open F i Open M I TPC – places I, II i III – Chief of the Police Cups
  2. Age categories: F20, F30, F40+, M20, M30, M40+ – places I, II i III – Provinciolal Chief of the Police in Wrocław Cups, City of Wrocław Chief of the Police Cups and President of Lower Silesian Police Unions Cup.

Classification of IPA members

The best female and male participants from IPA – IPA President’s Cup.

First 3 persons in Open Category PPC, do not take part in age classification.

AWARDS 

Distance 1/4 IM

  1. I  place: PLN 400 + Mietków Triathlon Cup,
  2. II place: PLN 250 + Mietków Triathlon Cup,
  3. III place: PLN 150 + Mietków Triathlon Cup,
  4. IV place: PLN 100 + Mietków Triathlon Statue,
  5. V place: PLN 50 + Mietków Triathlon Statue.

Places I – III in age categories will be awarded with statues.

Distance 1/8 IM.

  1.  I place: PLN 300 + Mietków Triathlon Cup,
  2. II place: PLN 200 + Mietków Triathlon Cup,
  3. III place: PLN 100 + Mietków Triathlon Cup.

Places I – III in age categories will be awarded with statues.

Corporate Triathlon Relay:

I, II i III placein each category: Team Cup, pride and glory of the relay winners.

ENTRY FEES – individual starts

Thisyear the basic START package contains:a set of starting numbers (in a form of stickers to put on a helmet, a bicycle, and for the deposit), starting number, buffets on route, buffet in finish zone, organisation costs, commemorativemedal, financial awards and non-financial awards for thewinners, authorization to take part in a lottery.

START package does not include T-shirt nor cap, which are available to buy when signing in. 

START package  – distance 1/4 IM:

  2. Payment due 30 December 2018 r. – PLN 160,
  3. Payment due 30 March 2019 r. – PLN 190,
  4. Payment due 20 May 2019 r. – PLN 250,
  5. Payment after 20 May 2019 – PLN 250 (no guarantee of a full start package).

START package – distance 1/8 IM:

  1. Teenagers below 18 y.o. – due 20 May 2019 r. – PLN 100,
  2. Teenagers over 18 y.o. – afetr 20 May 2019 r. – PLN 100 (no guarantee of a start package)

ENTRY FEES – Corporate Triathlon Relay (CTR)

This year START package CTR (3 person team) contains: a set of starting numbers (in a form of stickers to put on a helmet, a bicycle, and for the deposit), starting number, buffets on route, buffet in finisz zone, organisation costs, commemorative medal, financial awards and non-financial awards for the winners, authorization to take part in a lottery.

START package does not include T-shirt nor cap, which are available to buy when choosing package CTR Premium or CTR VIP.

CTR START package

  1. Payment due 30 January 2019 r.  – PLN 200,
  2. Payment due 20 May 2019 r. – PLN 300,
  3. After 20 May 2019 to the competition day – PLN 400, 

CTR PREMIUM package (cap, 3 CTR T-shirts)

  1. Payment due 30 January 2019 r.  – PLN 300,
  2. Payment due 20 May 2019 r. – PLN 400,
  3. After 20 May 2019 to the competition day – PLN 400 (no option of ordering T-shirts and caps).

CTR VIP package (cap, 3 CTR T-shirts, dedicated tent for team members and accompanying persons (8-10 people)

  1. Payment due 30 January 2019 r. – PLN 800,
  2. Payment due 20 May 2019 r. – PLN 1200.

Teams (minimum 10 persons or 10 relays) – 15% discount of the individual price valid in a given term. Only with single payment for the whole team.

RESIGNATION

In case of resignation:

  1. Due 20 february 2019 – 75% refund,
  2. Due 30 April 2019 – 50% refund,
  3. From 1 May no option of refund.
  4. Transfering of a participant – PLN 30,

In case of transfering of a package before 20 May: a person with a package payed for, entitles an email: „Package transfering” and sends at: biuro@triathlonmietkow.pl  stating the name and surname of a person to whom the package must be transferred. After 20 May – package transfer available ONLY at the office, shortly before the competition.

Instances of starting „for someone else” will be publicized and will result in a 5-year diqualification.

The resignation from the competition should be submitted in writing to the following address: biuro@triathlonmietkow.pl entitled „resignation”. Refund of the entry fee: up to 7 days after sending a resignation.

TRAFFIC 

  1. The traffic will be closed for the time of cycling and running to take place. The road, however, has many small commutes, many properties along it, that is why the participants must be cautious at all Times, respect the traffic rules and keep to the right side of the road. 

NUTRITION POITS, BICYCLE COLLECTING, 

  1. A nutrition point on a bicycle route will be placed after the turn on 23rd kilometer, and there will be 4 points on the running track, on 0,5 km, 2,5 km, 5 km i ok. 8 km.
  2. A helmet is obligatory throughout the whole cycling stage.
  3. It is forbidden to use ear or head sets during any of the stages of the competition.
  4. To overtake a participant has 20 seconds.
  5. Participants should collect their bicycles from 12.30pm to 15.00pm on competition day, after showing a start numer and a wristband.
  6. In case of collecting a bicycle by a third party, a person must have a starting numer of a participant, ID Card of a participant, ID Card of a person collecting a bicycle.

PENALTIES AND IMPORTANT MATTERS (the rules will be adjusted at a later time)

  1. After swimming the wetsuits can be taken off only in the change zone. When running from water to T1 it is allowed to take off only the upper half of the wetsuit.
  2. Nudity in T1 and T2 zones is forbidden and result in disqualification.
  3. Littering along the cycling route and running track beyond the „drop zone” – a designated place will result in disqualification. „Drop zones” will be placed 200 meters behind a buffet on a cycling route and 50 meters behind a start line on a running track.
  4. During cycling stage the referees will be present to check if anyone is riding on somebody’s tail. Minimum distance between participants is 8 meters.
  5. In case of violation of the rules; vulgar language towards referees, participants or fans, riding on another participant’s tail, crossing the road axis – especially in dangerous places, turns and descents, littering beyond „drop zones” – a participant can be disciplined with a red card what means immediate disqualification.  
  6. Penalty tent will be located next to change zone. Each contestant punished with a time penalty must remember to come to the tent to take the punishment. When a participant does not check to a penalty tent he/she will be disqualified even if he/she completes the race.
  7. In matters not covered by regulations – we apply rules of Polish Triathlon Federation.

CLOSING REMARKS

  1. The competition will take place no matter the weather conditions.
  2. The participants are obliged to be insured against personal accidents.
  3. The Organiser reserves the right to shorten or change the route of the race, to change the time of start, to stop or terminate the race due to force majeure. In such a case the participants will not be refunded any costs.
  4. The Organiser does not take the responsibility for the items los tor left unattended.
  5. Complaints should be submitted in writing due to 1.30pm on the day of competition.
  6. Complaints concerning errors in time measurment must be reported immediately after the end of the race.
  7. These rules apply to all participants of Triathlon Mietków.
  8. Registration is synonymous with accepting the regulations.
  9. The Organiser claims the right to cancel the event without giving a cause.
  10. The Organiser has the right to change the rules contained in the regulations, which will be available in the Office.
  11. The participant must wear the starting numer in front during cycling and running stages (does not apply to swimming).
  12. Prizes will be avalable after end ceremony at the Office.
  13. It is forbidden to use any communication devices, like telephones, walkie-talkies, as well as any music players.
  14. In matters not covered by regulations – we apply rules of Polish Triathlon Federation.
